"It's a true privilege to supply a product that has only been touched by me. A product that in its lifetime won't travel far from where it was grown. It's the very definition of fresh, seasonal and local. That's what makes my flowers special."

Hello, I'm Lydia,
founder and owner of Hen Hill Cut Flowers.
My mission is to make it super-easy for floral designers and florists to buy British cut flowers by growing fabulous seasonal blooms and making the whole buying process effortless. Because it needs to be simple. And convenient.
I know that florists are super-busy and have many choices when it comes to sourcing stems. I want to make the process of buying local and British really easy.
It goes without saying that I'm fully committed to growing in a regenerative style using only natural fertilisers courtesy of my chickens (hence the name of the business). I treat my soil with the care and reverence it deserves. And absolutely no pesticides, herbicides or chemicals. The result? Flowers that are waiting to be sniffed, touched and enjoyed.
Together with a collection of cottage garden favourites like foxgloves and scabious, I specialise in fragrant garden roses, peonies, sweetpeas, and fimbriated dahlias. Plus a curated selection of annual flowers grown from seed each year, together with perennials, hydrangea and bearded iris.
And if you've ever wondered what it takes to grow and sell cut flowers, I've been narrating the highs and lows on my podcast, Becoming a Cut Flower Grower, which I'd love you to listen to here.
